School opens at 8:45 am. Parents are asked to escort their children to the pedestrian gate where they will be received by the teaching assistants on duty. Any messages should be relayed to the teaching assistants and they will be dealt with by the office. The Head Teacher or a member of the Senior Leadership team will be on supervision duty in the playground until the children line up for the beginning of the school day. In the event of rain or similarly inclement weather, the children will come straight into the school building and assemble in the hall where they will be supervised until lining up time.
Parents of Reception pupils may accompany their children into class for the first week or two while they are settling in.
By January they are ready to come into school alongside their peers leaving their parents at the gate.
The gates are opened to all parents at 3:15pm. Infants are dismissed from the classroom door and parents are asked to assemble there. Junior pupils are led out into the playground by their teachers.
Parents are asked to supervise their children once they have collected them and to ensure they leave them premises safely. The trim trail is out of bounds before and after school for health and safety reasons as accidents are more likely then. Please do not let toddlers play unsupervised in the grounds.
